Well-WomanIt is recommended that women have a well-woman exam annually starting at the age of 21 or younger if sexually active. The well-woman exam includes a breast examination, a pelvic examination, and a pap smear. Age or other factors may require a mammogram, bone density scan and test for Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) and possible STDs. Women who have had a hysterectomy are recommended to have a yearly pap smear as well.
